My name is Adrian, and I follow my passion for baking, crafts, and the simple pleasures of life. My journey into sourdough baking began in 2021, when my mother visited me with a small jar of sourdough starter. She encouraged me to try my hand at sourdough baking, and I thought, "Why not?" Although my first loaf wasn't perfect, the process captivated me. With each attempt—the second, third, and fourth—I became increasingly fascinated by the art of baking with sourdough.
Sourdough baking is both simple and timeless. With just three ingredients—flour, water, and salt—you create something truly unique. Yet this simplicity requires patience and respect for the process, without shortcuts. Sourdough bread is more than just food; it is a tradition that has nourished people for thousands of years. For me, it is precisely this connection to history and community that makes sourdough so special.
The name "Ydmyk" was chosen to reflect my values: simplicity, respect, and quality. Working with natural ingredients to create fresh, handmade sourdough products feels both humbling and meaningful.
